| I know it has been a LONG time since I have said anything. Been in theraphy and just finished for now, the Dr. said I have plateaued for now so, time to just let nature take its course for awhile. We just came through a busy month, the Officers Christmas Party was a great time, the Pie day at Booth Residence, taking Applications at Booth and helping at the Centerhill and Covington Corps. Helping at a funeral of a dear friend. We now are preparing to head to Tiffin for te weekend, we are specialing all the Sundays this year. It has been different not doing kettles, but we have made ourselves avaailable to help the Corps in various aspects of the Christmas season. We have 2 of our grandchildren until their dad picks them up. Miss them when they are not around. Well, the kids are calling me to breakfast. Trust your Thanksgiving hoilday was good, have a safe and joyous Christmas season. Remember to take time and enjoy it with your family. Blessings | | |
| It has been awhile, been enjoying the grandkids at night before they go to bed. We got a Wii game and our granddaughter just loves it even though she is 3. It seems weird not preparing for the kettle season. we have taken around 80 adopt-a-senior applications at the Booth Residence. That is about the extent of our Christmas work. No lotus notes with all the forms to be filled out, what store and their restrictions that have been placed. I look everyday but alas, nothing. I check with the Corps Officer where we attend and he keeps us informed. Well, I have been released from theraphy. it is good not going 3 ddays a week. but still have to use a cane for my balance. Probably for 2 more months. I still go to the Drs. every 2 weeks for blood work It is gettting cold here in Ohio. Looks might we could get snow anytime. It would be nice. Watching the Wx today and saw that snow was predicted in NY where I grew up and my brother is stationed. Does anyone know where a Wii fit can be found? most game stores in this area is out of them. My wife and I would like to get one to use now we have alot of free time. Have a good week. | | |
| Seeing it has been awhile since doing any writing I thought I would drop a line or two. We are finally settling in our appointment starting a few new programs and looking forward to the older ones that were taking place. Men's camp was cancelled this weekend thanks to the hericane winds that came through and punished the camp pretty good. Many trees were down and like the majority of places in Ohio, no power. Our camper was slightly damaged, should be easy enough to fix. Sr. Camp is this comong week. My wife and I are on the committee we are looking forward to the weekend . Went to the Corps today, was nice to sit and be ministered to. I did the meeting for the CO's last week as they were out of town for the Cadets welcome in NY. We kinda promised ourselves we would only do one special a month so we can spend time with our daughter and her family each Sunday. It is a blessing to have them with us as we get to be with the grandkids alot more. We went to the Commissary yesterday to completely stock up again it was $400.00 in food. I thank God we still have our priveleges to the basses as we are retired from the military. Guess those 23 years was not wasted . Our quarters was slightly damaged last weekend- got a Lotus note from Chesterfield, there is a $500.00 deductible on property damage. Guess we won't be seeing a check for the repairs. | We debated over the question of buying a Wii system as we already have all the rest of them and do not play them anymore. So the other day while at Sam's Club, we purchased one as the had them with the lowest price we have seen. Well, getting it home, it sat in the box foe a couple of days then when the grand kids came home, we laid down the rules of the use of it. Well, it has been a blessing getting it ( if that is possible). Our grandchildren have a ball with it as welll as my wife and I seeing we now have the time to spend with them. Our granddaughter actually cuddled up next to me while we played it and kept saying I won grandpa, I won. Had my stress test yesterday and finished it all up this afternoon. go to the Doctors tomorow for my monthly physical since having the stroke. I complain about the cost of the 1201's, but when I see the bills paid in full, I am relieved that we have good insurance to cover us, speaking of whick, my new hearing aids come in next week just before leaving for Men's camp. Again, Chesterfield covered the entire cost. Weather is turning cold in Ohio, time to put the shorts away and flip flops. Guess I won't be wearing them at mens camp, although I will be staying in our camper which is at camp for that and sr. camp. we have a/c and heat in it and both works very well. Wel,, guess I had better sign off and go up stairs and take the dog out before bed. have a good week | | |
| We just came back from North Carolina visiting my sister who is a retired officer. It was a long, long drive I should have listen to people including my doctors on not driving it, but if anyone knows me, I am stubborn. We had a great visit last I saw her was when I had my stroke and she came up to stay with me so my wife couold take the timbrels to Commissioning to particapate in Star Search. We had a great visit then also seeing we did not go anywhere. This week, we go back to work on Tur\esday, do a Labor Day party for the residence at Booth then head to camp to help set-up for family camp that takes place this weekend. We have Comms. Knaggs coming so, it will be a great time. Well, better close for now as I am getting tired so, I had better head to bed night have a great week | | |
